BDC Coronavirus (COVID-19) and Infectious Disease

After weeks of working together as a team on a reopening plan that helps ensure a safe return for patients and staff, we are open. Your upcoming appointment time has most likely shifted slightly and we appreciate your flexibility.

We recognize that COVID-19 is still with us, so we wanted to share some details of our plan to help you feel confident in returning to our office.
Keeping patients and team safe is nothing new for us. We have always practiced the highest standards of infection control and we have used the time since our March 16th office shutdown to take it to an even higher level.

The recommendations/requirements for the return to non-emergency dental care involve the following areas:Patient Screening: Screening questions will be asked upon appointment confirmation and again at your arrival. Temperatures will be taken upon arrival as well.
Patient Flow: Please call our office upon arrival and we will alert you when you can enter the building. Our waiting area is currently setup for social distancing.

Patient Barriers: We will ask you to wear a mask to and from the treatment rooms, if you don’t have one we will provide one for you.
Practice Personnel Screening: Screening of team members for elevated temperatures and any other symptoms and signs of illness will take place at the beginning and at the end of the day.
Practice Personnel Barriers: All Brodhagen Dental Care team members are wearing N95 masks in addition to level III surgical masks and face shields. We have also installed additional plexiglass barriers around our front desk.
Environmental: Most treatment rooms at Brodhagen Dental Care are enclosed with doors for privacy and infection control. While not required, air filtration measures have been implemented and soon our hygienists will be equipped with individual high volume evacuators, creating an environment with fewer potentially harmful aerosols. Our doctor operatories will also be equipped with chair-side HEPA filtration devices.

Brodhagen Dental Care has been working hard to exceed all of these recommendations/requirements. As you can imagine, the above-mentioned changes will affect nearly everything we do in the practice, including the length of procedures. To accommodate this, we have altered our workday and weekly schedules.

Despite these changes, you can count on our practice providing you the highest level of dental care anywhere, in a clean, comfortable, and safe environment. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact the office. If your appointment was cancelled due to our closure and you have not heard from us yet to reschedule, please call and we will do our best to get you back into our office.

We remain your home for dental wellness,

Dr. Mark and the Team at Brodhagen Dental Care
